Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, born on July 18, 1990, is a Mexican professional boxer who currently holds multiple world championships in the middleweight, super middleweight, and light heavyweight divisions.

Alvarez began boxing at a young age, learning the sport from his older brothers. He turned professional at the age of 15 and quickly made a name for himself in Mexico, winning his first 26 fights. In 2011, he made his U.S. debut and defeated Matthew Hatton to win the WBC light middleweight title.

Over the next few years, Alvarez continued to rise in prominence in the boxing world, winning numerous world titles and becoming one of the most popular fighters in Mexico. In 2013, he suffered his first professional loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. but rebounded with several high-profile victories, including a win over Miguel Cotto to capture the WBC middleweight title in 2015.

In recent years, Alvarez has continued to dominate the sport, defeating top fighters like Gennadiy Golovkin, Daniel Jacobs, and Sergey Kovalev. He has also become a successful businessman, launching his own promotional company and signing lucrative sponsorship deals with brands like Hennessy and Under Armour.

Outside of the ring, Alvarez is known for his philanthropy, supporting various charities in Mexico and the United States. He is also a family man, with two daughters and a son.
