Manny Pacquiao, also known as “PacMan,” is a professional boxer, actor, singer, and politician. He was born on December 17, 1978, in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines.

Pacquiao’s interest in boxing began at a young age when he saw his older brother, Bobby, training at the local boxing gym. He started training himself and quickly became a skilled amateur boxer. In 1995, at the age of 16, he turned professional.

Pacquiao gained international fame for his quickness, power, and his ability to move through weight divisions. He has won world championships in eight different weight classes, a feat that no other boxer has accomplished. He has a professional record of 62 wins (39 by knockout), 8 losses, and 2 draws.

Aside from boxing, Pacquiao has also dabbled in other industries. He has released several albums as a singer and has appeared in numerous films and TV shows in the Philippines. He has also been active in politics, serving as a member of the Philippine House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016 and later as a senator.

Pacquiao is known for his philanthropic work, particularly in his home country of the Philippines. He has donated millions of dollars to charities and has even built homes for the poor. In 2015, he was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world.

Despite his success, Pacquiao has also faced controversy throughout his career. In 2016, he made controversial comments about the LGBT community that sparked widespread criticism. However, he has since apologized and has continued to work on behalf of marginalized communities in the Philippines.
